Michael Keefe was nice enough to pass along the Tioga Central Railroad Rail Days information. The event has been on hiatus for a couple of years, but now it's back. Read their press release below. Rail Days will be September 17 through 19 and includes Freight and Passenger Operations, Photo Run-bys, Night Photos, Caboose Hops, Speeder Rides, and Onboard Dining. This looks like a fun event. The Tioga County Early Days Fall Festival will be held September 10, 11, and 12, 2010 at 1686 West Hill Rd, Covington, PA. The festival will open daily at 9 am. A $2.00 donation per person, under 16 are free is requested. $10.00 for camping for the weekend. This year will have live music by Penny Eckman on Saturday, Sept. 11 from 7 to 9 pm. Mansfield has a new revitalization organization targetting downtown Mansfield. It looks like they'll be doing some pretty interesting stuff with cooperation from Mansfield University, Borough, and local community members. They're first major project will be a four-screen movie theatre to show first run movies and provide a venue for local arts and cultural actiivites. The other projects on the list include a 24 hour diner, full service bookstore, indoor family sports center (The YMCA?) and a world class mountain bike course. More...

Mansfield's Fabulous 1890's Weekend is fast approaching, September 25 and 26, 2009. The 1890's weekend takes you back in time to the world's first night football game played by Mansfield Univeristy at Smythe Park on September 28, 1892.
